Hi, I'm Christiane Erwin.
I always assumed I would write and publish a novel. I even studied Literature and earned my MFA. Inevitably, work and family took priority over my creative writing goals.
When life finally slowed down and I had time to write, I realized most novel-writing instruction is built around extremes. They demanded literary perfection and either romanticized chaos or required rigid productivity.
I was no longer interested in "suffering for my art," so, I set out to develop a simple, flexible framework for writing a novel that would:

Weeks 1-2
As the weeks unfold, your relationship to writing will change. You'll participate in group exercises that honor your unique pace while building your momentum.
Weeks 3-6
By the final weeks, your story will have found its form, the finish line is in sight, and you'll know exactly what you need to do to get there.

You'll finish the 10 weeks at a stopping point of your choosing: either a full draft of your novel or a clear path to completing it on your own terms.

Do I need prior writing experience to join?
No. The Electrified Writer’s Novel Immersive is designed to support women with a wide range of experience, including those who have never written a novel before. Academic credentials are not required. What matters most is your desire to write and your willingness to engage with the process. The framework and guidance will meet you exactly where you are.
Is it really possible to write a novel in 10 weeks?
Yes! There are authors who write lengthy novels in far less time and others who take many years. We’ve found 10-weeks is the perfect container for building momentum at a gentle, sustainable pace when the means and motivation are there. That said, we provide the structure, and the pace is up to you. This program is here to support your goals, not demand compliance.
What if I've tried writing a novel before and didn't enjoy the experience?
Many women join precisely because previous attempts felt isolating, overwhelming, or unnecessarily difficult. This Immersive offers a different approach, one that emphasizes joy, organic rhythm, and community. If you’re open to a new way of working and thinking about novel writing, you’ll likely find the experience refreshing.
Will I be required to write a certain length of novel or in a specific genre?
The immersive is for anyone who wants to write any length of novel in any genre. Instruction is generalized enough for anyone to follow. Specific milestones unique to your journey will be determined in your 1-on-1 with Christiane.
Will I be required to finish writing my novel within the 10-week period?
No, you are not required to finish writing your novel before the close of the program. This is a pressure-free, judgment-free zone. You’ll be guided steadily toward completion, but the goal here is to finish in a timeframe that feels satisfying and true to you.
Will this program help me get published?
No, the Immersive is designed to guide you from idea through publication-ready work, not publish your work for you. It is recommended that you self-publish your novel in some form once it is complete, even if you simply have a spiral-bound copy printed at Kinko's. Should you desire to sell electronic or paperback copies of your finished work, you will find helpful resources for cover design, interior formatting, and more in the program bonuses.
How much time will the Immersive take each week?
During your 1-on-1 with Christiane, you will determine your personalized writing pace and routine. The Immersive also includes scheduled, live guided coaching and work sessions as well as materials for self-paced instruction. But how you decide to balance these offerings and spend writing your time writing your novel is up to you. Most participants find the time commitment both manageable and enjoyable.
What if I fall behind or miss a session?
Live participation is encouraged but not required. All sessions are recorded, and you will have lifetime access to replays. The structure is forgiving, and support is available if you need help reorienting at any point.
What is the group dynamic like?
You’ll be writing alongside a carefully chosen group of like-minded women who, like you, want to fulfill a creative dream and have a great time doing it. The environment is supportive, respectful, and grounded. You'll also receive 6 full months access to the Electrified Writers online community so that you can keep in touch after the immersive is complete.
Is the Immersive a safe space for diverse voices?
The 10-week Novel Immersive welcomes all women, including female-identifying and gender-diverse members. While we cannot guarantee 100% safety, we have a strict policy against violence, bullying, or hate speech and will do our best to provide a safe space for diverse voices. Our goal is to provide a container in which members may freely express themselves through their writing without fear.
What happens if I'm accepted but I decide it's not the right fit?
You are protected by our Mutual Alignment Promise. If during the first 7 days you decide the Immersive is not right for you, your investment will be refunded, no questions asked.
Will I receive critiques or feedback on my writing?
No. You will not be asked to read what others have written, nor will anyone (including Christiane) critique your work. Whether you decide to share what you have written with the community is up to you. What you write is private and will not be shared without your consent. Feedback between community members is voluntary.
How do I apply?
